The Universidad Alberto Hurtado is pleased to present the UAH Latin American Studies Program (LAT-UAH) as a fundamental part of its Internationalization Strategy 2030. The objective of this program is to articulate academic, teaching and research efforts on topics related to Latin America and to make UAH a world leader in Latin American Studies.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the program offers international faculty and students the opportunity to research and learn about Latin America, with a focus on the social, economic, cultural and political processes in Chile and throughout the region, both past and present.
Since its beginnings 60 years ago, the creation of the Latin American Institute of Social Studies (ILADES) and the Center for Research and Development in Education (CIDE), the Jesuit university has been dedicated to “thinking Latin America,” conducting research and training generations of scholars, intellectuals and policy makers at home and abroad.
