In 2001, the School of Psychology was created and so was it’s undergraduate program. This program was based on the importance of discipline for an institution that proposes to install, in a transdisciplinary way, a dialogue of confronting the challenges and problems of Chilean Society. Currently, the Faculty of Psychology is composed of the Psychology Program with more than 500 students and almost 600 graduates. It also consists of six(6) Master’s programs , one Doctoral Program and multiple continuing education programs, with almost 200 students enrolled, To date, more than 300 master’s and undergrad students have graduated.
In addition, the faculty has the Psychological Care Center (with four specialized programs of care and clinical training for professionals).
We are 21 academics (100% with postgraduate degrees).
A daily schedule of the Faculty includes undergrad and postgrad teaching, disciplinary research with it’s own external funds(CONICYT), a permanent service of specialized psychological care for the difficulties in accessing mental health resources, and permanent ties with the environment to disseminate knowledge and/or intervene in the problematic realities of society where psychology has a relevant voice.
The main driver of internationalization in our faculty goes hand in hand with our community of academics, and our doctoral program.
